Just moseying on through the rest of the year

And by that I mean I’m panicking with each passing second if I’m not making something creative, or learning a new skill. haha

But, I am also very dramatic, so don’t worry.

There are many projects I’ve got planned to delve into. I’m helping my husband with his original project a lot, and I’ve been heavily emotionally invested in Voltron fanworks. I’ve signed up for a few fandom events, and I hope to finish a HUGE fan animation for it b4 April. The idea for that contains a lot of action/fighting and LOTS of CHARACTER MOVEMENT. I must be insane for wanting to do this, but I’ve had the idea in my head around the time of Keith’s birthday. But instead of work on it, I made an animation for Keith’s big day instead. Glad I did, too.

I also put together a “making of” video for this animation too. Yes, it alll started with stick figures~ They’re very important, you know!

And on the subject of animation, I made this for AJ Locasio!

It also doubled as an animation test with a new program and man….I had been practicing how to pop lock to get the feel for how to animate this, as well as look at tutorials online AND I asked my husband to demonstrate the basics. (he can easily do it, but me i would up hurting myself lol) Still! I am very glad I was able to complete this even if looking at it now, I wonder why I didn’t just take out the nodding in the beginning haha

Drawing/animating Lotor’s armor frame by frame was so painful, let me tell you lolll I have nothing be awe and respect for studio Mir’s ability. Everyday, I mentally thank them for existing and creating!

In other Voltron fan news, I’ve been making a lot of illustrations and some mini animations. Technically, the Keith ani was to be my last music video for Vtron, and I was only going to do small things…like 2 frame mini animations, or finish off the mock up fighting game sprites that I started. So far, I just have Allura. And it was made b4 season 3, so she isn’t in her paladin armor.

Getting weekend time to stream has become tuff, but that’s because I’m basing it around the schedules of others. A friend I live with started going to bed rather early during the weekdays, so as to not disturb him trying to get to sleep, I shifted my streaming times to Friday and Saturday night. It’s difficult, but it’s been working so far. The only room I can stream in is the room directly adjacent to his, so I must be respectful!

I’m sorry, Ludger…I only played your game once recently. I miss you, and Julius and hangin out with the others on your adventures!! Playing Pokemon online has taken up huge amounts of my time, these days haha

 

Oh oh, in other news, that same friend, of whom I don’t want to disturb when I stream, gave me an Endless Waltz Wing Zero SD Gundam kit! I’ve already started on it!! It’s so easy!! It’s to start me off to get to the Master Grades ❤

A really brief update!

UGGGGH!! As some of you may know, I finally got through my first playthru of Undertale. Pacifist run ftw. I tried to start a new game on the same computer, but I didn’t want to take everyone’s happy ending away from them, so I used a different computer instead.

Aaha… And this game over happened in the ruins….I pressed down instead of up and ran smack dab into a dancing…iforgethisname. haha

I’ve also been playing a lot of p4D and some P4G. I played a bit of a visual novel too, and that has taken up most of my week. I haven’t been on the PS3 in a about the same time, due to getting really bummed out about my reasons for playing fighters. I know, inwardly, I don’t have much of a fighter’s spirit….but playing fighters tends to relax me. …So does coloring/painting pics I’ve drawn. I don’t quite yet know what it is I want to gain out of playing fighters…but I’ll find it. So if you haven’t seen me online, I haven’t been feeling too fight-worthy. -_- But I’ll gain a reason.

What Slayers? YES, the Lina Inverse Slayers!! haha I’ve been into them since middle school, man… ANYWAY!!!

I may hop on later to practice in UNIEL or BB or something. …But I’ll tell you, with all these other games, commissions and official art, to require my attention, I’ve been neglecting spending time with Ludger, Julius and crew. I listen to “Song 4 U” everyday multiple times, though….like right now, for example haha. It just moves me. And hearing it to the opening in the game just makes my heart soften.

Ah, and then Sofia’s theme plays next. Which Sofia? 

Why, this Sofia, of course! Haven’t I told you? I’m, for whatever reason, a diehard Battle Arena Toshinden fan!! The franchise is terrible, but the characters and the music have left a lot of impressions upon me. My favorite character, and still to this day, is this little annoying, sneaky, green haired talent right here 

Ellis is my favorite. Always has been; and probably always will be. I’ve even drawn fanart of her lol It’s all been bad though. One of these days, I’ll draw her justice. And Eiji too. LOOK AT WHAT I STARTED FROM!!!

See? All bad. I’ve improved so much more since then. YOU CAN EVEN WATCH ME PLAY SOME OF TOSHINDEN 2 HERE!!!  There was a time I recorded 1-3, but my stream settings were wonky, and it didn’t come out right…SO I’LL HAVE TO DO IT AGAIN SOMETIME!

This game is so bad, but I love it. You can see it on my face haha

This one. I miss VF sometimes, tho. I mained Jean…but I love Vanessa. I thought her and Jacky would make a cute couple, I don’t know why. Akira is my favorite character in the franchise tho…and random Yuusei in the sand is random haha…MAN!! this is SO DATED!!! I can do better, honest!!! haha

WELL!!!! In current news, Xmas has come and gone, and it was as it usually is: just another day. As was my birthday, the day after it. Did I mention my friend Yuusei got P4D for me as a present? Thanx again, Yuu!!

I’ve been playin it like crazy!! Streamed it twice.

Combo hype!!King Crazy hype!!!!!

Naoto in a butler suit and 103 combo-MISS hype!! lol Naoto was never a favorite character, but I can tolerate her more in P4D.  In the first release of P4A I hadn’t, and had no interest, in playing the original P4, so I thought she was Minato (the main guy from P3). Upon choosing her first, I was shocked to find “Minato” using guns all of a sudden. Cooome to find out, it wasn’t really him, and actually a female character, I swiftly lost interest. haha

It wasn’t until I actually played through p4, and p4G that I learned more about her…and STILL didn’t like her haha But in P4d, she rocks the butler suit(but Yu wears it better).

 

Anyway!!! I haven’t been playing as much Xillia 2, sadly….because I’ve been playing…

UNDERTALE!!!! (Thanx Lo!! And YES, I named the character “Aerith” lol)

After many many MANY game overs, I finally beat it Xmas night!!!Pacifist run; first playthrough. This particular boss gave me some real problems  hahaha Very freaky fight. Took me about 5 tries to finally outlast and win.

(Mettaton!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ❤ )

The game has great programming and makes good use of callbacks to bring up items you have stated by characters/for them to mention actions you’ve done, things like that. (Hmm? What’s that? Didn’t I mention I had some Ren’Py programming experience before? hahaha)

IN MORE NEWS!, more Yomi has been played. We got the game not too long ago, the physical copy, so I’ve been playing that tabletop more than the virtual game. I also picked up Hearthstone recently, like today lol

It’s extremely easy to pick up, so far. I’m sure there will be some tricks popping up later, but yeah. So far, the gameplay isn’t bad. The characters talk too much, though.

— On the art front, I made some Rinharu arts.

One was for the Feel Our Hearts campaign where notes, art and photos are scrapbooked and taken to Kyoani’s studio in person!

The other was a secret santa picture.

I put a lot into the secret santa one. I wanted to improve for myself. I accomplished new things I was satisfied about, but afterward, it bothers me that most fellow Americans just don’t like, or don’t get my art. But the Chinese and Japanese seem to. I really need to improve though, no matter what! I’m not at that “perfect for me” level of artness yet.

Whew! That’s mostly what’s been going on… Still playing UNIEL more than BB or GG. I’M TOURNAMENT READY! for uni, that is…mentally haha BRING IT!!

I’m continuing to do original stuff for that original series I mentioned “The White Snake Chronicles”^___________^ Lots of writing; lots of drawing; lots and lots of animating!!!!!!!!!!!!

That art I mentioned

One day, I decided I should just draw ponies/horses in the MLP:FiM style.  I wasn’t a fan of this version of the show (I prefered the old old original), but it’s alright. I wouldn’t go around trying to high 5 every single pegasister n brony or anything, but I’ll watch some of the episodes.

This here’s my original character Maple Fable. Her look may change, but I’m liking how she’s turned out so far.

This pony/horse is done in the MLP:FiM style, too. She isn’t mind, however. She belongs to Keetah-Spacecat aka Paint Splotch on FiMFiction. And her name is Paint Splotch. She uses her rainbow power to do things! Like paint! haha

And there you have it.
